Wonderful vegetable cutter. There are several reasons I chose to purchase this product over others. Having been using it for a while, I'm very glad I chose it for the same reasons. I have considered myself a home foodie for many years and have tried dozens of kitchen gadgets and this is one of my favorites. There are other variations of the mandolin on Revain but this one is great as it has a few features that set it apart from the rest. . First, it has a blade storage lid that other mandolins don't have, and it comes with cut-resistant gloves that came in handy when we were using it. Second, the slicer is pretty sharp. As long as I used the mandolin properly and tried to cut vegetables quickly and firmly as recommended, I had no problem slicing onions, sweet potatoes, and a variety of other foods of all sizes and cut styles. I suspect that others who have left less than positive reviews for using this mandolin may be abusing it as I have found it to be extremely sharp and useful for chopping vegetables. The dial is very comfortable and I like that I don't have to keep a bundle. random blades. The dial is very easy to set up and the entire unit is easy to clean - just rinse and dry on a drying mat. I would suggest rinsing it out right away as something with dried veggies is difficult to clean. I love this device!
