I don't know why some people rate the installation or instructions badly. It really couldn't be easier. I used the shock driver and both installed in less than 15 minutes. I never needed directions. Tightening the nut on top and watching the spirit level move for some reason gave me great pleasure. I installed this on a relatively new fence (6 weeks old). Our installers left crooked gates and the gate's junction was uneven. I removed their diagonal lock before installing this device. I'm also planning to install one of these on my smaller gate in the spring.
