HDCP Compliant - Static

If you are using an NVIDIA graphics card and are looking for a product like this to support your dual link DVI monitor from a card that now has no DVI output, keep it Please note that this will be registered as an active repeater. You can see this throws a yellow flag in the HDCP status in the Nvidia Control Panel. This works on a technical level, but some programs or websites that monitor HDCP digital copyright compliance will detect that the display you are using this with is not compliant and while this service is running any display will change from clear image to dazzling statics . You can still see programs on it, but it's very annoying and intentional. The biggest thing for me is Netflix. When Netflix is playing in a web browser, even if it's on one of my other HDCP compatible monitors, the monitor using DVI becomes static as long as Netflix is open in the browser. Close Netflix and the monitor will immediately return to normal. 30 minutes. If these limitations are a deal breaker for you, don't buy this. I have a 1440p panel so didn't want to use a passive adapter like a direct DP to DVI cable, but since they're under $10 it might be worth a try before committing.

Displayport must be the SOURCE - NOT BI-DIRECTIONAL
