Tip too wide, no flux in solder wick
Suction cup tip too wide for what I used it for (replacing mouse buttons on a Logitech M570) and couldn't get it to make a seal for vacuum operation. It would be nice if the tip was a lot less. I've never seen solder with such a wide tip in over 25 years as an electronics engineer. The tip is so wide that it looks like what's left after cutting off the end of a regular tip. If you look at the photo you can see that the tip is a tube with no constriction at the end. The solder wick does not appear to contain any flux and does not itself absorb solder. Adding rosin solder to the stick and wick finally resulted in a solder to the wick after several attempts. Better buy some liquid flux if you want to use this solder wick. I would not buy it again nor would I recommend it to anyone.
