Review on Kyocera CKT 105WH BK Outdoor Ceramic Kitchen by Auden Paz

Typical Kyocera quality but not sure how useful a camping knife is

I'm a fan of Kyocera ceramic knives, you pay more for them than other ceramic knives, but they're great for their lifetime sharpness Known service and that is worth the extra cost in and of itself. This knife includes a travel sheath but I doubt a little that the ceramic blade would be the one I would clip to my belt, looks like an extra knife packed primarily for kitchen work. So I'd rather include a regular blade sheath than this large belt sheath. And the size makes it even less what I would take on a fishing trip or other wilderness activity. Ceramic is too brittle, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has used my heavy camping knife to cut open a tin can because I can't find a can opener, or use it to clean fish or cut meat on bones that aren't used for ceramic knives be able. Ceramic is great for cooking, fruit and veg so I'd rather have a large santoku or chef's knife for more versatility if I plan to carry this type of knife with me at all, which is also easier to use because of the better balance of handle and blade size. The only advantage of this knife is the much lower weight compared to a metal knife. So if you're backpacking it might be worth considering, but the risk of breakage is a big minus. Overall, this seems like a way to sell the knife specifically as a 'camping knife', but while it's still a decent knife, I don't find the size, bulky handle, and sheath cost particularly useful, so I don't recommend it can set to other top Kyocera knives.
