High quality functional knife.

This is basically the same as the 4.5 inch utility knife with rubber handle and sheath. Kyocera is the best ceramic I've found so far. Very useful for a variety of purposes

Pros
  • Satisfied for now
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Very sharp! in the kitchen and dining room

My husband got this first unit as a gift and it worked great until it broke 2 times but to be honest it wasn't really used at the time. It was my husband's favorite knife so I found it at Revain and got a replacement.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Working speed

Love the size but cracks :(

I love the size and functionality of this knife but last week it broke in the middle of the blade while using it. I have no idea how it happened, but i am very disappointed and i will end up replacing it because i really like the size of the blade and the comfort of the handle.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Everything is fine

It's a great tomato knife

I've never had a ceramic knife before and it's incredibly sharp. However, it is very fragile. The information on the knife states that this knife should not be used to cut bones as this would damage the blade. I agree with other reviewers that it's probably not worth taking this knife on a hike since it's fragile. However, the knife sheath that comes with it is very well made and durable. This is a great tomato knife and as long as you take care of it it will last a long time.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Nothing

Use wisely. Never stop. Sharp like everyone out. Love it!

Heavier handle than non-camping models. Exceptionally sharp ceramic edge. Ceramics are generally not durable. Accidents happen and when they happen, I don't think ceramic can fall like a metal blade. I usually return them to the factory to grind them. But our 5 inch chef's knife now has too many chips on the blade - one for me, one for my wife. I'm not sure if one can be recovered, but I'll find out. The woman swears by the ceramic blade for almost all plant work, which is wonderful when used…

A great blade all round, too bad to only use it for camping!

My first thought was "Kyocera, printer company?" but wow, that's an amazing blade. It's actually a shame as a camping kitchen knife, although it comes with a very nice sheath I keep it in my kitchen knife block. I use it for cooking vegetables. Sliced tomatoes are SO THIN, literally 1/8 inch or less, cut through broccoli, zucchini, etc. and still have a sharp edge! I'm a vegetarian so I don't use it for meat or fish, but as far as I can tell it's a wonderful knife. Too bad to only be used for…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Null

This is a very ergonomic knife, very comfortable and easy to use, and also very light. This is an excellent knife for fruit, vegetables and other light food preparation. It's a pretty good size - the blade is large enough to be used in many situations but small enough to keep the knife compact. be the perfect "camping" knife. Metal knives are more durable and versatile. You can abuse the metal knife a bit if necessary; Ceramic knives are more brittle (e.g. the packaging specifically warns…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

I <3 ceramic camping knives as they usually come with a plastic sheath to protect the blade. This one is similar except the shell is made of nylon instead of plastic. The handle *looks* ergonomic, but to be honest I found it less comfortable than most other kitchen knives, and I'm not sure if a hard plastic handle is lighter/stronger/more ergonomic than a regular knife handle. It's not bad at all, just not better than other knives. A nylon case is a good idea, although it's so large that I…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Some editions

Typical Kyocera quality but not sure how useful a camping knife is

I'm a fan of Kyocera ceramic knives, you pay more for them than other ceramic knives, but they're great for their lifetime sharpness Known service and that is worth the extra cost in and of itself. This knife includes a travel sheath but I doubt a little that the ceramic blade would be the one I would clip to my belt, looks like an extra knife packed primarily for kitchen work. So I'd rather include a regular blade sheath than this large belt sheath. And the size makes it even less what I would

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
