Review on 📶 C. Crane Super USB WiFi Antenna 3 - Best Long Range WiFi Booster for Windows PC - Extended Reach Beyond Regular WiFi Extender - 2.4 GHz by Mike Sutherland

I was looking at options to extend public Wi-Fi coverage at the campgrounds we visited. An external antenna connected to a modified Linksys router is most recommended. So far, this solution has failed miserably. After a third ride with a recommended range extender that didn't work, I went back to look for other solutions. Based on the reviews here and online I purchased the C Crane Super USB Wifi Antenna. It arrived this afternoon and I hooked it up to my Mac. (Check the Crane website if you are using the latest Mac OS - 10.6 and 10.7 drivers are not included on the disc!). I connected the antenna and the software recognized it and gave me a list of 29 Wi-Fi hotspots - my Mac can only see 14. I've found three open links and can connect to them with no problem and then tell the Mac to unblock the Internet connection over Wi-Fi. So far I'm impressed and I think it will be a great solution for our travels. I'll add more as I test it in the field. ***UPDATE*** We have just returned from a 2 week trip. The antenna works great when there is a signal. However, as with many hotels, the provided network can be slow and congested - this is not the antenna booster's fault. We are happy with the purchase. :-)
