Description of ๐Ÿ“ถ C. Crane Super USB WiFi Antenna 3 - Best Long Range WiFi Booster for Windows PC - Extended Reach Beyond Regular WiFi Extender - 2.4 GHz

The Long Range Super USB WiFi Antenna 3 can be the best WiFi solution for home, mobile, RV, student and travel. The C. Crane Super USB 3 plugs into your PC computer's USB port for a powerful WiFi Internet reception. On average you can get 300 to 400 feet through several walls. The antenna and 15' cable can be mounted up high, in a window with included suction cups or outside for a better connection to a host router or Free Hotspot. The Super USB 3 is best suited in a less WiFi crowded area as might be found in the country for a guest house, barn, end of a road or large home. The Super USB-3 uses 2.4 GHz which is longer range than other bands. (In a WIFI crowded "city" type area 5 GHz is usually a better choice because it has more channels). 802.11 B, G, and N. Up to 150 Mbps. WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPS encryption compatible. Compatible with Microsoft Windows XP to Windows 10. CD included for driver installation or can be downloaded from C. Crane's site. Installation is usually straight forward but if you have a question or a problem please call C. Crane US based tech support. You will need to know your WiFi password for installation.

Works great with USB network adapters

Need wifi in my shop which is a steel building where wifi can't penetrate. I hung this antenna the day before in front of my building at 14ft in line of sight to my house 250ft away and now I have internet in the building (5 lanes). I've put a sheet of plexiglass in front of the antenna to protect it from the elements, and it's staying dry and snow-free here in northeastern Pennsylvania. If only I could find a USB input router now. Setup was simple and easy. This option was much cheaper andโ€ฆ

Extremely disappointed. I bought it based on the reviews on .

Extremely disappointed. I bought this based on the reviews about the wifi connection in the camper place. I have 12 RV's and parking street from wifi station. My laptop picks up the station halfway, but one tap only improves reception by 10 feet. The laptop shows 12 Wi-Fi but the faucet only shows 14. I even tried placing it on the roof of the van. Tried this on an i7 desktop closer to a camper with the same results. It didn't live up to expectations. I still have to go to the train station toโ€ฆ

I wish I could be smarter :(

I'm a longtime PC user who switched to a MAC about three years ago. I've read some glowing reviews of how this antenna works. I have a router on the third floor and more a laptop in the basement.Lately the speed at which the laptop in the basement accesses the internet has become very important. It was able to connect to the AirPort Extreme upstairs but the speed was very slow.I bought this antenna fix.I couldn't get it to connect and work as per the discussions on the web and a youtube video of

Surprised. beautiful

Didn't expect much although I read very positive reviews. However, I was amazed at the excellent performance of this antenna. I use my computer below deck on a sailboat. Without the Super USB 3 antenna, my computer was able to pull between 0 (zero) and two bars (out of a possible 5) from a checkout page at the port. When the antenna is mounted on the mast of a sailboat at a height of about 8 feet. Water, reception 5 bars for several mains connections, also in town free of charge. When theโ€ฆ

First Impression - GREAT

I was looking at options to extend public Wi-Fi coverage at the campgrounds we visited. An external antenna connected to a modified Linksys router is most recommended. So far, this solution has failed miserably. After a third ride with a recommended range extender that didn't work, I went back to look for other solutions. Based on the reviews here and online I purchased the C Crane Super USB Wifi Antenna. It arrived this afternoon and I hooked it up to my Mac. (Check the Crane website if youโ€ฆ

It didn't work later I need a repeater

Installed exactly as recommended/specified. I had the antenna mounted on a galvanized metal pole about 5 feet above my roof. At first I saw about 7 more networks (a separate list of my laptops built into the list of Wi-Fi adapters) and some had 5 bars where previously I could only get a maximum of 2 bars. I've seen wifi at 4 bar KOA campgrounds about 0.75 miles away but it was amazing. But I left and went back to the laptop and then the networks didn't show up anymore. The separate list ofโ€ฆ

Blown out after two months of use

Comes with a dual USB cable which provides extra power to the antenna. I installed as directed and connected both cables to my laptop, after which the laptop failed to see the antenna. I tried to connect using the data cable but to no avail. I also tried connecting to the USB 3.0 port with the same negative results. Subsequent communication with K. Crane revealed that the cable itself was defective and I replaced it with another cable. The antenna then worked as advertised until last week whenโ€ฆ

Great for a camper!

I just bought this antenna for my Chevy Express RV. I installed it in a plastic tube that serves as a mast for my TV antenna. I immediately dialed up many more networks, and the ones I usually use are much more powerful. For those of us who like to have fun both camping and around town, this antenna will be invaluable. It includes various attachment methods such as suction cups and Velcro. or do like I did and put it in a 1.25" PVC tube to hide the antenna. It will fit snugly and securely in aโ€ฆ
