I've been using my old Dell U2515H with IPS panel daily for 3 years. I've gotten used to the color accuracy and viewing angles of this monitor, and it's a pretty good monitor for gaming. However, I was looking for a gaming monitor since my old one is intended for professional work such as photo/video editing. I bought it at a time when 60/144Hz didn't matter to me. I tried a 144hz monitor last month and boy does it feel like day and night when the cursor moves and I was looking for a gaming monitor with a high refresh rate. I've been wanting to buy one of the 144Hz IPS monitors but some of them are expensive and suffer from what they call "IPS leak" where the backlight bleeds when the monitor screen is completely black. The VA panel has good contrast, but I felt like I should go for the TN panel since I'll be gaming most of the time anyway. This monitor came to mind and most of the reviews were positive. I pulled the trigger and bought it and let me tell you that I have no regrets switching to this particular TN panel. When delivered, monitor colors must be calibrated. Once you've adjusted the color setting to your liking, it's almost comparable to an IPS panel. Build quality is what you typically get from Dell as they are the best in this category. Lots of ports to use. The overclocked 155Hz refresh rate is a huge step up from 60Hz, which made everything from gaming to web browsing smooth. The only thing missing was a DisplayPort cable, which is what you need if you want to use the overclocking feature. As far as G-Sync compatibility goes, it works great. I have a GTX 1070 and I don't see any performance crashes or screen tearing when playing FPS like CS:GO. The moment I enabled the overclock setting, the Nvidia control panel automatically enabled G-Sync. If it doesn't, you can do it manually. Although not listed on Nvidia's website, G-Sync works without any problems. All in all, if you need a monitor primarily for gaming and watching movies, this monitor should be in your shopping cart.
