Just received yesterday, was in the middle of assembling so I was able to use it as soon as I charged the battery (about 45 mins). I was working on a medium sized coffee table base (6ft long, 33ft high, 13ft wide) - I had to grind about 30 welds on 1.5" square tubing (combination of 40 and 120 grit fillet and butt welds). petal discs), then I had to cover the entire frame with a wire cup and do a few touch ups with a 120 grit petal disc. I did 21 of the 30 welds before I had to turn off the battery. to finish the remaining welds and run the wire cup over 90% of the frame before the second battery runs out. I had about 5 minutes to fully charge the first battery (assuming the same 45 minutes it took to charge it the first time). Instead of taking a break, I pulled out the cord sander and finished the job. The charging process ended after about 45 minutes. Here are my impressions: It's light - even holding the battery feels lighter than carrying it around. It's maneuverable - although it's longer than the wired model, it's easier to maneuver. The cord was of great importance. The performance actually surprised me - it won't compete with my 13 amp Metabo grinder, but that's not what I bought it for. I was looking for a light, maneuverable, easy to use grinder that could do 75% of the jobs I do on construction jobs that didn't require my heavy Metabo. After a build I'd say this fits the bill. I'm impressed so far. If my opinion changes, I will update this post.
