My cockapoo and I are both seniors, but he's more spry than I am. I didn't need to raise the height of his feeding bowls for him, but for me. Bending down is a problem. But with these raised bowls, both of us like it. My dog likes eating from a more comfortable height and I don't have to bend as far to give him fresh water and food. The one improvement I'd suggest is that the edge of the bowls be raised ever so slightly from the feeder stand. As it is, I have to put a small tab of paper toweling between the bowls and their stand otherwise the only way I can get the bowls free of the stand is to push them up from the underside of the stand. And that results in water splashing from the bowl to the floor.
