I have a digstor Blu Ray Writer that plays and writes Blu-ray. Unfortunately, the speed is slow and it takes a long time to record. You have faster Blu-ray burners, but you're pretty limited if your computer only has 2.0 ports. The advantage of rewriting is that you can use it more than 100 times. The bad thing about rewritable discs is that the writing speed is slower. It's great for smaller projects, but for movies you need a faster writer. Another good thing is that they can store up to 25GB of information, so you can record two full movies on it. I recorded the old Avengers series and I think I recorded 5 hours on my old VHS.
