Review on Philips Universal Remote Control (Rose) - Compatible with Samsung, ๐ŸŒน Vizio, LG, Sony, and more! Simplicity meets versatility - 3 Device setup by Demetrius Patsion

They're promoting Roku and it's terrible for Roku Ultra.

I have Roku Ultra on 4 TVs. Each location has their own combination of TVs, soundbars, A/V receivers, etc. used for the Ultra, so this remote seemed worth 'mixing' my TV life with using the same remote for each TV. It managed to get TV and audio capabilities in all 4 regions, but overall this thing is just BAD for Roku Ultra use. There are three Roku "codes" available, and none of the three contain the two main Roku "buttons" functions: the round back button and the star button. The absence of those two buttons (IMO) makes using this remote frustrating for a Roku Ultra user, if you've used the enhanced voice remote that comes with your Ultra, even just to set up your device, you will immediately notice the lack of functionality every time you use this Philips, forcing you to pull out the OEM remote, thus defeating the purpose of a universal remote. It may work well with other models (I only have an Ultra) and these features are present through Philips, but if so there is no 'code' that activates them on the Ultra. I give this remote 2 stars for its overall functionality, but when I suggest it in my book as preprogrammed for Roku sorta, that means it offers full Roku button functionality (I understand it certainly doesn't offer voice search or a headphone jack as Enhanced ) and it's not.

Pros
  • Remotes and accessories
Cons
  • Slightly torn
