You get what you pay for! Although these wide D brackets claim to be 316 stainless steel, I wouldn't trust them in an aquarium. I was happy to find the SS 316 Wide D clamp at a reasonable price. But upon arrival I quickly realized why these restraints are so cheap…. They are poorly made, no two are alike and they look like they will break under any strain. If you need it for simple projects; Where fit and finish don't matter, I'm sure it will probably suffice. However, if you want to protect something valuable, I would look elsewhere; I have made!
