As mentioned before, the installation was easy. Simply unscrew the old antennas and screw on the new ones. Ronin antennas are designed so that the male end of the antennas already have screw lock on them. Once you've screwed it in and positioned it so the logo is visible where you want it, the thread-lock makes it harder for potential antenna thieves to remove. I was fed up with the long chrome factory antennas and was ready to upgrade to a smaller, more flexible one. This one was attractively priced and looks pretty good. I am happy with my purchase.
