This stopper is not high enough to block drafts from a standard edged exterior door. It's complex and difficult to attach to the door, and even the guard is still hanging when you finally install it. We didn't notice any change in the temperature of our entrance with it, although we ended up fixing it so that it actually covers the bottom of the door. As it is advertised as a heavier doorstop it is actually lighter than the ones I have had in the past. The only real plus is that it has held up from time to time when our pup has held it. I would not recommend this product and would not buy it again.
