Cool Hand II: Protective work gloves

Ok, I'm not satisfied with this version. It took me a little over a year to go through my pair of Cool Hand I's. I've been wearing the II's for a few weeks now and my thumb tips are already fraying. Also, due to the way the Velcro is placed, the hand straps don't stay open long enough to get your hands out. What I'm not sure about is the leather palms. They look slippery. I'm not sure if they get softer over time or if they just get worse. Cool Hand I has ribbed skin at the base of the fingers. Maybe the clutch helped. Running my fingers over the fingers of the gloves I notice that the II gloves are thinner but the I grip is better. Scorpio also changed the back of the hand. The I had two-piece hard rubber armor while the II had neoprene padding. I'm assuming Scorpion tested new gloves that proved the new system would work in the event of an accident. Pros: The new glove is thinner and lighter. You can definitely tell they breathe better. Remember they are small. However, once you determine your size, they will fit you perfectly. Scorpion has strategically placed small neoprene pads in your palm, right where you hold them. The base of the glove is now made in the form of gloves. It is better to wear a jacket. Cons: Leather palms and fingers are slippery. While this is not an issue with the rubber grips, it is an issue with my chrome/rubber grips on my cruiser. The old model definitely had better grip. When your hand is in a glove, the Velcro doesn't want to stay open long enough to pull your hand out. All in all these are good gloves. The fit is good, the fingers are crisp. I would rate them better if the leather had better grip.
