I really wanted to like these gloves as I have a scorpion helmet, jacket and pants. However, they don't seem to be of the same quality. For example, there is excess material that clumps up when you twist your wrist. For this reason and because of the lack of screen recognition, I sent them back.

The gloves have a good fit and finish. While not perfect protection, they are VERY well ventilated and the ankle padding is more durable than I thought. Even if the size is a bit strange. Ok, I'm not satisfied with this version. It took me a little over a year to go through my pair of Cool Hand I's. I've been wearing the II's for a few weeks now and my thumb tips are already fraying. Also, due to the way the Velcro is placed, the hand straps don't stay open long enough to get your hands out. What I'm not sure about is the leather palms. They look slippery. I'm not sure if they get softer over time or if they just get worse. Cool Hand I has ribbed skin at the base of the fingers.
