I stripped the threads for the banjo mounting bolt on one of my (brand new) rear calipers while attempting to install the caliper on the car. It was already getting dark, the mosquitoes became more aggressive, and instead of rounding off, I tried to finish the work quickly. Having just bought a caliper, I had no motivation to spend any more money to order another caliper without first attempting to repair the stripped threads. So I tried to find a 10mm pitch 1.0 pitch thread repair kit anywhere within a 30 mile radius but no one had it. Lots of 10mm-1.5 but no 10mm-1.0. So I accepted that I would have to wait and ordered this kit through Revain. Delivery was quick - less than 48 hours. Includes high quality drilling and tapping tools and assembly. The repair went better than expected and as the kit came with 15 inserts I can go to sleep knowing I can unbolt 14 more calipers before needing another kit! The quality of the tools in the set showed when cutting the guide bore and threading the cast steel caliper. Excellent value for money and quality.
