These adapters are very easy to install and extremely reliable! Make sure you don't plug them into outlet extenders, flush mounts, or anything else (extension cords, etc.). I have three units on site. Installation was a lot easier than running a wire on the second floor of my house or in my shed! I would definitely try them if I was in the same situation. They can also be used as part of a WiFi coverage solution for your home. I have a Wi-Fi router connected to each extender that gives me the coverage I need. I use a small ethernet switch on each outlet for wired and wireless connections. ADVICE. If you connect the PowerLINE adapter's output to one of the wireless network's OUT ports instead of the "Internet" port, the wireless router will broadcast on the same network as the channel and bypass the wireless router's DHCP functions (no NAT). easier to find printers and other workstations on your network. Normally all wireless routers have at least 4 additional wired ports. Connect to any of them and check them out, you'll see what I mean.
