Update: yes it stopped working, took about a year and a half. After a few months I noticed it stopped loading. I would disable reconnection and everything would be fine. They come up every few weeks. Then it got worse until today it finally stopped loading. I'm not sure I'll replace it since it's $90 now. There are definitely quality issues. Everything has an expiration date, but a year and a half seems short. Downgrading my rating from 5 stars to 2. Fix a burn in issue in the manufacturing process and it's a 5 star product! I'm leaving my previous review below, which is my first time doing it, so you know it was a genuine review. Considering the short lifespan, it is too expensive. If it was cheaper, who cares, but $100 apiece with taxes for 18 months or so, you'll have to judge. Simple and effective. I drop the iPad and it starts charging. Call me lazy, but I hate reaching for the plug, let alone the mess it makes with all the cords. I have this on my breakfast table and it's easy to use in the morning when I'm drinking coffee. It's very durable and has multiple pads on the bottom so you can even put it on glass and the pads will keep it from slipping. It's pretty firm and stays in place. Some reviews mention that they stopped working after a while. I've never experienced that and hopefully never will. I really like that the product lasts for several months and I've considered buying a second one for the bedroom. I can't remember the last time I reached for a charging plug. My iPad is now always charged. I wish it was a little cheaper.
