The mains switch with built-in control lamp does NOT light up in the ON position! The indicator light only works if the overvoltage protection has tripped. I bought this splitter for the price and the 2100 joules of surge protection is way too much for the price. I totally missed the picture where I talk about what the indicator light works for, everyone wants to see the power on/off at a glance. For a small price you get a very cheap and light construction bar. I bought it for a home-made network center for powering devices, it can withstand it, it can't.
