Hardware issues

Bought two bronze faucets for a new bathtub. The faucets look great and until installed seem like a fantastic purchase. After we renovated our bathtub, I decided to call a plumber and ask him to install the faucets. Everything went great until the bearing was installed. The plumber even commented on how good the faucets were and how easy it was to hook everything up. Then came the installation of the drain. Immediately after they left, a sink drain started leaking. I called them and they came right back. The white grommet that tightens the bottom gasket to the sink does not tighten on the threads. and they could not prevent the leakage. A sink was fine as we thought. They went to Laws and bought a complete drain kit for $38 to fix the second sink. They didn't charge me for that drain because they thought the guy blew up the first one. Right after they left, another one started licking. Same problem, can't tighten the bottom gasket. Either the white plastic is defective or the metal threads are defective. I didn't even call her back. I went to Laws and bought another steel one and installed it myself. Steel is made by Keeney and if you don't mind spending the extra $76 the faucets look great, I'll just have to see how they hold up. I owe my plumber $38 because it's not his fault.
