Review on 🎧 Flexible Throat Mic Covert Acoustic Tube Headset with Finger PTT for Kenwood Pro-Talk XLS TK Walkie Talkie by Elizabeth Reyes

. Stars instead of one or none because it looks great when it's on

The only reason this neck mic/headphone set gets two stars instead of one or none is because it looks great, when it is on; and I really like how the PTT button is set up (quite big, covering almost the entire surface of the device it's in, so it's not easy to miss). However, the problem with him is much more serious. Plain and simple, it just didn't work. Tried several walkie talkies of different brands and models and got the same results on all of them. On a very rare occasion when the person on the other side heard something when I spoke it was NEVER my voice, there was a brief "open air" noise as if the mic was open but no one was speaking ( unless I spoke) and it was NEVER my voice. never lasted more than a second or two despite holding the button for 10 or more seconds (hold, wait a few seconds, speak, wait a second or two, release button). Supposed to support VOX, but this gave the same results as PTT. Unfortunately, I have to admit that I wasn't surprised given its cheapness, but I was disappointed nonetheless (again, but it looks way cooler than other mic/headphone combos). I feel like you have to spend significantly more money to get a reliable throat mic that works well.
