I ordered this product because I have arthritis in both thumbs and cannot use regular lighter or longer versions. This product is great, easily lights my candles and gas stove burner without making my hands uncomfortable. I am very satisfied with this product. I just got it so can't rate the battery life but I'm sure it will be ok as my needs are not picky. Update: Just FYI. When re-lighting the candle, be sure to remove the used portion of the wick before re-lighting. I've found that a burned Cecil skein will foul the lighter rods making it difficult to light, and some of the wax can soften enough to get into the lighter. This happened to me and it stopped working for a moment but then it buzzed. I used rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab to gently clean the lighter with instant effect. The lighter is excellent, I recommend. As with anything, there are unexpected things that pop up.
