I give it 4 stars because after almost 30 days it has a one pixel wide vertical red line. It was easy to replace (thanks Revain) and the next one had a light line about 3 feet to the left and a stripe maybe 2 inches wide, maybe 1 shade lighter than the screen. right out of the box. I suspect it might have been a replenishment unit as it didn't come with all the stickers on the frame like it did the first time. Third time was a charm, this one works great so far. There were a lot of good reviews so I was surprised that I had 2 defective units. It's very crisp, crisp, etc. I got it to connect to my MacBook Pro. Just set the display option to Mac and it works great. You can close the lid of your MacBook and everything will appear on the new monitor. The laptop must be connected to a power source. vs battery What I did is I have a magic mac mouse and keyboard so working with a 13" laptop looks and works the same as my 27" iMac.
