Great helmet for the price!

I bought this helmet after looking at a few. I even considered the Harbor Freight option and it was actually cheaper than the HF and offered better graphic design. The plastic is light but not bad. Out of the box it works as intended. The instructions can seem a bit confusing at first, and if you trust something like this to hurt your eyes, it can be scary. But I can say that I used it for several hours over several days and it worked very well. A few things I can say is to press the battery test button to make sure the batteries are good. The battery indicator is on the inside front panel. Do this every time you are going to use it. Also, set the sensitivity to the maximum on the first try. In this way, you ensure fast response times right from the start. I first tried shade 11 but found it a bit darker for what I was working on so I found 10 to be a good value and it suits what I'm doing now well and allows me to see well while working. I am working on my current project. I set the delay to maximum which allows for a one second delay before the darkness returns to normal. This way when the metal is hot I don't get flashes off the metal. I would give it five stars but the plastic grips on the sides are pretty flimsy and don't hold the helmet well when I put it on. . It tends to slide down all the time. The adjustment knob tightening it around the head is good. You press on it to tighten and loosen it, which I like. The weight on this is nice and comfortable meaning no neck pain. It comes with many optional lens caps. Overall I'm very happy with it so far. Edit: A person asked what kind of batteries he needs, so I thought I'd answer and post a picture. Requires 2 x CR2032 Lithium 3V batteries (as shown). The instructions on how to access it are a bit vague. You need to remove the front lens cap and then remove the whole unit by unclipping the plastic latches. It's easier if you look at it.
