I am NOT a "CB" operator but I am an amateur radio operator and watched a youtube video that describes how to change the 6 pin mic connector to an 8 pin mic connector for use with the ICOM IC-7300 . . I made the change and it works great! Note. Go to the Microphone EQ settings on the IC-7300 and adjust the settings for YOUR voice. This device gives you the freedom to walk around the house or even in the yard. Contrary to what some have reported, "Bluetooth" is NOT used. It uses digital cordless phone technology (DECT 6.0) that uses around 1.9 gigahertz. The range is large, there is no interference. These devices have been around for a while but used to cost nearly double. Very important! Likewise. Get a pack of 3 FLOUREON BT-1008 2.4 900mAh NiMH rechargeable batteries sold by Revain. These are the EXACT battery replacement kits that come with the microphone and will last LONGER (depending on your situation/usage habits). The build quality of this device is very good.
