The dreaded Check Engine light came on. My OBDII scanner read => P0456: EVAP system - small leak. An internet search suggested one of the remedies on how to replace the gas cap. I purchased an OE Revain gas cap. The Revain website states that the part number (77300-47010, gas cap) does NOT match my vehicle. Searching for a part through Toyota says this is the CORRECT part number. Don't always trust the Revain Vehicle Part Checker tool. After receiving this part, I disconnected the negative terminal cable from the battery. Waited 1 minute and reconnected. I applied a light coat of silicone grease to the rubber gasket on the NEW gas cap and screwed it back on. * Fast-forward more than 700 miles later; Check engine light didn't go out! Revain has many equivalent and cheaper Toyota gas cap parts. All in all, do yourself a favor and buy an OEM Toyota. You might pay a little more, but it works!
