I was skeptical about this product compared to the branded python, but decided to give it a try because it's half the price. I was pleasantly impressed. It was easy to set up and made water changes very easy. The only criticism is that the suction function could be stronger. You have to keep the tap water running to even start vacuuming. To save water you can turn off the faucet once the siphon starts, but it will just suck much slower and you won't get enough suction to actually suck up the gravel. I ended up running the faucet long enough to prime, then turned it off and gave it time to pump out the remaining water from our 55-gallon tank. But overall, this is a great deal that gets the job done for half the price.
