Avoid at all costs!

The old adage, you get what you pay for applies here. This aquarium vacuum cleaner is complete crap and the only thing it vacuumed was my will to live. I would not recommend this product to anyone

Tried for cost reasons, not as good as Python

We recently added a smaller tank for my daughter's room. After years of using Python, it's not that good. We'll get it working on their smaller tank, but that's not realistic or possible for regular use on a 55+ gallon tank. We have three tanks and this one is too slow and doesn't suck when the gravel pack is on it. Only the diameter of the hose is too small.

None of the fittings will fit a threaded faucet within 50 feet

None of the fittings will fit a threaded faucet within 50 feet. However, a vacuum tube and very tight fittings at this end are ideal. Therefore 3 stars. The only rescue. The half tank is much easier to change, just pull the hose out the door and vacuum to get the siphon working. At least I can focus on cleaning instead of filling buckets with dirty water. And the flower bed also benefits. :)

Great product for the price

I was skeptical about this product compared to the branded python, but decided to give it a try because it's half the price. I was pleasantly impressed. It was easy to set up and made water changes very easy. The only criticism is that the suction function could be stronger. You have to keep the tap water running to even start vacuuming. To save water you can turn off the faucet once the siphon starts, but it will just suck much slower and you won't get enough suction to actually suck up the…
