, I ordered this to repair the check engine light. The code told me it was the air pump system and as far as I could tell everyone recommended replacing the air pump. The air pump is electric and my car is over 10 years old (2000 Firebird formula). This product is only an electric motor and does not contain plastic pump housing. This was great as I saved money by not having to buy everything. I took out the old one, sat at the kitchen table, disassembled it and replaced the electric motor. Less than 15-20 minutes passed and the pump was stowed back in the car. It was a perfect match for what I had removed.
