Fail Don't Buy: Alternators & Alternators
Bought because I need genuine parts for my old truck - I'm trying to stay away from generics. Well, TWO of them in a row broke right out of the box. And another failed in less than a day. My wiring is good, the alternator is fully functional. So I bought a cheap universal from my local parts store - works great. Motorcycle Parts - now made in China. I opened it up and found a cheaply made circuit board with no protection, inside which was an almost completely empty metal case.
