IPB-16S Pre-Wired Temperature Controller

I looked at several drawings of assembling a PID controller with my own hands. but stayed away from the project because he didn't feel comfortable after the schematic drawings. So when I saw the IPB-16S controller, it turned out to be the solution to my problem. I received the device two days after ordering and after a few days I was able to cook with it. The great thing about the controller is that it is plug and play. The only modification I had to make was installing the mounting bolts and adjusting the mash temperature. The unit worked great and maintained the set temperature for my homebrew HERMS. I have a small hot water circulating pump in HERMS and it would be nice to have a pump controller along with a heater temperature controller which is very handy. I wish the input could support 20A at 120V, with a higher amperage I could use as well. to drive one of my 2000 watt DIY heaters. Once I set the mash temp, it maintained the set temp for the hourly mash schedule with no hiccups or temp hunting. The units fit and look good with a durable quality metal body, switch, two power outlets, power cord entry and temperature sensor. In general, the product's appearance is of high quality. The cable is very strong and is 42 inches long. The unit is grounded, but I'd like to see ground fault protection if possible rather than plugging into a GFCI outlet for protection. The short cord or GFCI protection wasn't a problem for me as my 120V GFCI source is only a few feet away from me. he said it wasn't. During BrewDay I had no problem submerging the probe in water. If the included sensor fails, I'll buy a sensor that clearly says it's waterproof, but on the plus side, the cable is 6 feet long. Great buy and would recommend, saved me time and possibly money building my own PID controller. Finally, I have several other types of Inkbird controllers that I have purchased over the past few years and they are all great quality and still working.
