Review on High-Performance Western Digital 1TB WD Black Internal Hard Drive - 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64 MB Cache by Brian Olson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Two years later, it still works like new according to drive benchmarks.

Two years later, ZERO problems with this drive. In fact, on a recent drive test, this drive still reads just as "hard" as it did when it was brand new. There's a reason people like WD drives more than other brands of drives, because they know they're reliable, rarely break down, and if you ever had to, their RMA service is very fast. You'll want to use a WD Black Series drive if you're a "gamer" and need a data drive but don't want to pay for an SSD just yet. The Black series is more reliable and designed for long and intensive use. According to a recent article testing standard HD drives over 2 years, there is only one HD drive better than WD and they are tied to the other for reliability. So if you want a reliable drive no matter the size, buy Western Digital.
