Review on 🧽 ESUN CLEANING Filament: Optimal Solution for Printer Cleaning by Sam Anez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like. good for 3D printing Filament

This is a cleaning filament and it seems to do what I need. I've used it after every filament change, especially when the filament needs to be printed at a temperature significantly different from the previous one. If there is remnant from a previous filament that ran at unsupported temperatures, you can see blockages here. The instructions for use are pretty vague, but here's what I do. Switch to PLA at 200°C. I raise the Z-axis about 100mm above the bed to see the filament coming out of the nozzle and heat the hot end to 245°C. While watching the temperature as the hot end heats up, I discharge the PETG and then load the cleaning filament once I reach 200°C. Then I extruded 10mm at a time until the PETG was clear and the extrusion was clean. Then I do a temporary clean by starting the extrusion at 50mm and setting the hotend temp to 180. While the hotend is cooling down, the cleaning filament is still flowing through the hotend. If 50mm passes before I hit the target, I just run another 50mm. I like to think I'm just cleaning the melting chamber. Am I really doing this? I am not sure. The :DI then performs the same filament start-up process while again heating up to 245°C and returning to the set temperature. At this point I load the desired filament and extrude until the cleaning filament is clean.
