This little radio has a surprisingly good sound. I listened to the radio with it and got decent reception. It's a little tricky to tune stations with the knob because the dial is so small, but if you're not in a hurry it's possible. The backlight features are fantastic. Three settings for flashlight and reading lights. The case is durable, so it should easily withstand hiking and camping. My only concern is the bracelet. The band itself seems fine. It's made from lightweight stretch fabric. The carabiner is cheaply made. I don't think it will hang on your belt or backpack for long. The rope at the end of the strap where it attaches to the radio looks like wax cord. Stronger than some strings but I have no idea how they will perform under pressure. I would therefore recommend this radio/torch. We have frequent power outages where I live and this has come in handy a few times.
