Review on ASRock B450M PRO4 AM4 AMD Promontory B450 Motherboard: Enhanced Performance with SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.1, HDMI, Micro ATX by Van Chay ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality, did not expect at all for the price.

My brother was the first person I assembled on it, using an R3 2200g with 2x8 RAM Samsung TB1 3200 CL 16 Now that I've added the RX 470 4GB, I discovered to my astonishment that the BIOS does not support SAM. My graphics card, an RX 480, is connected with the MSI b450 PRO VDH PLUS, which features SAM. Even the frames-per-second count managed to climb by 5% in Divine Divinity 2. I have not tried any other games, nor do I want to do so in the future. no longer needed.

Pros
  • quick lace-up Prices ranging from 4000-5000 The month of January in 2022 You are able to install a Ryzen 5600x alongside other 5000-series garbage. There has a DVI output, which is a very useful feature to have. You are able to hang two of them on VGA, and even the third one (there are mothers without DVI, I almost bought one)
Cons
  • To the best of my knowledge, the motherboard does not support enabling the SAM function, even when updated to the most recent version of the BIOS (4.40), which is ated AGESA. Above 4g decoding is possible, but SAM does not appear to support it. In theory, if this is the case, then we lose anything from 5-15% of the frame rate that the video card provides. Is that a lot to ask for? The VRM does not have any cooling, although it is unclear whether or not it would be necessary if we were to add four to six 65-watt cores in this location.
