I love this styling tool! I've used it for both straightening and curling and it works great for both. I've had this for almost a year now and haven't had any problems. You really need to get used to using the grips at some point instead of squeezing a real straightener when I was in the habit of squeezing the real part of the barrel, but it's an easy adjustment. I've never squeezed the barrel but caught myself short of the first a few times using it. Overall I LOVE this hair tool and will be buying another one in a heartbeat if it really bites the dust because I love the extra room it gives me in my bathroom "hair box" and toiletry bag when I travel!
