I've used regular automotive hose clamps (bolts) and connected each end of a rubber hose with an L-joint (2.75" diameter) to a submersible pump/fountain (built in my backyard). ) But I was able to use these old ones Not tightening clamps enough so that the rubber hose slipped from the pressure of the water being pumped. Initially I had the same problem with these clamps. But then I used three small self-tapping screws and screwed them into the black plastic tube on either side of the hose (overall 6 bolts) to create a rough surface for the rubber hose. Then I used these new T-bolt clips and they worked like a charm.
