Some reviewers complain that there is no chip in the key, but the description says it's just a case. This does not replace a lost key as it does not have a programmable chip. However, it replaces old, worn out keys that have either been damaged or no longer work well, as you can simply take the chip out of your old key and put it in this new shell. The case has new contacts under a rubber coating, so if your old buttons only work after four or five clicks, then this is the solution to that problem.
