The faucet is exactly what I wanted but it doesn't work. I bought vintage 18/2 wire wrapped in fabric. Even after tearing the fabric at the joint, I couldn't close the lid tightly and securely. I tried using small mortise locks to squeeze the cover and snap it into place, but in the end it just broke the body and ripped the cover off the hinges. I felt the cable's insulation was too thick for these connectors. But compared to other 18 gauge wires I have, the insulation seems to be the same or will be standard. Just so I know, I tried stripping the insulation off a bit and securing the connector. I managed to get a connector on the wires but after opening the cover I found that some bare strands of wire were being pushed out of the track and touching the second track of wire. This would cause a special light show that I don't want to see (sparks) or break the switch. I wanted them to work so bad!
