SharkBite made my faucet repair easy!

In 50 years I've been so careless I froze/broke an outside faucet twice. 25 years ago there was a painful and difficult repair with copper. That faucet, some PEX, and another SharkBite fitting for the other end made the swap easy. I cut the old copper pipe in a convenient place and added a SharkBite valve, then installed a faucet in place of the broken one, then cut the PEX to fill the gap. Copper may be cheaper, but the labor and hassle saved justifies the cost. If I freeze my faucet again in 25 years it will be very easy to turn it off and add another faucet!
