After not even one day with the cone, my kitten decided enough was enough and it had to go. She got it off and even ate the gauze (!) to ensure I never used a cone again. The gauze came back up, so all is well thankfully, but I was determined my female kitten would never use a cone again. It empedes walking, eating, drinking - they are terrible. While necessary for a male kitten, they are not at all required for a female as it is much easier to find ways to block access to the abdominal areas.I tried a baby onesie first, but it's not ideal and while it worked for a couple of days, once she mastered how easy it was to get off, she would do it repeatedly until she knew once again, she won.So I got this one and another for comparison. This one is MUCH softer and compliant and much easier to put on. She did manage to get out once, but once it was back on, she wasn't trying to get it off again, which I see as a sign that it is comfortable.
