Good product but measurement guide faulty.

Very good product for the two weeks needed. Only 4 stars because of fit. Originally ordered the medium size after using body measuring tape on kitten. The medium was a little too big. I ordered the small and got it the next day. The small was extremely tight. Their sizing guide leaves something to be desired. The medium worked, the kitten could not get out of it and she could pee and poop without issue. I would highly recommend it over a cone of shame.

Pros
  • Allows the cat to eat and drink comfortably without interference from an e-collar
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for long-term use

So much better than a cone

After their spay & neuter, my kittens were afraid of the cat cone and it was really difficult for them to eat and drink with it on (plus they kept getting litter inside the cone). Since I'm unable to separate them I wanted to try recovery suits so they couldn't lick each other and their incisions would be covered. I originally made 4 DIY sweaters while waiting for these to be delivered and they quickly escaped them so I was unsure if these would work but they did! I got a small for both and the

Pros
  • Prevents the cat from accidentally harming themselves or other pets in the household
Cons
  • Might not prevent the cat from licking the wound

High quality but hard ot put on

This is a good quality product that has nice stretch and softness, so I imagine it would be comfortable for cats to wear. Our cat wasn't having it. We struggled to put it on our cat after her surgery and had to give up. We got a donut-shaped collar instead. If you have a calm and cooperative cat, this would probably work well. If you have a frisky cat like ours, then try something else.

Pros
  • Can reduce the need for post-surgical pain management medications
Cons
  • Can cause irritation to the fur of some cats

Cat body suit: my feedback

Well, I ordered this for my male kitten who fractured his femur and had to have surgery. The vet told me that even though I put this on him to keep him from licking his incision to still put the e-collar on him. I said why? I thought that was what the body suit was for to help keep him from licking the incision? She said it will get wet as he would lick and the end result is the stitches will get wet so you can't use just the body suit. Well I figured if I still have to put the e-collar on why…

Pros
  • Allows for easier monitoring of the surgical site by the pet owner
Cons
  • May not hold up to frequent washing

Omg my heart best in my review

So, a beautiful little stray found us and soon became part of the family. We got her spayed and I really didnt want her to wear the cone, so i searched and found this. On a whim ordered it and it was a saving grace. As soon as we got her home we put it on her i also put a panty liner where the incision site was against the suit, just in case she licked through. We kept it on for 5 days and she didnt mind wearing it and needless to say her site healed up beautifully!Great product and great…

Pros
  • Cats
Cons
  • Inconvenient during potty breaks

So. Much. Better. in my review

Ok, so of course the cat still hates it. But it is WAY more functional than the terrible e-collars -- the inflatable zen-collar worked ok-ish, until the cat punctured it. The vet sent us home after the spay with like a kitten hospital gown that simultaneous fell off and also trapped the sweet kitten. Awful.Wish we could have started with this. It is 100% better than all the other options. We had to cinch up the neck (sort of looks like some versions come with a drawstring -- the one we got did…

Pros
  • 1.A great and professional E-collar and cone alternative: The suit is a professional alternative to a cone and full body bandage. It is very suitable for first aid purposes, wound and bandage protection and a lot more.
Cons
  • Difficult to clean and maintain

After not even one day with the cone, my kitten decided enough was enough and it had to go. She got it off and even ate the gauze (!) to ensure I never used a cone again. The gauze came back up, so all is well thankfully, but I was determined my female kitten would never use a cone again. It empedes walking, eating, drinking - they are terrible. While necessary for a male kitten, they are not at all required for a female as it is much easier to find ways to block access to the abdominal areas.I

Pros
  • Allows the cat to have a greater range of motion during their recovery period, which can aid in their mental and emotional well-being
Cons
  • May not be effective on active, playful younger cats

Great quality and protected surgery site!

This was a great buy for our spayed kitty! The material was breathable and while my vet actually advised against it, I found it really helped protect the incision site from her licking but also during her movement. It’s hard to keep a cat from jumping and running around - we did our very best - but this helped immensely. The cone was too heavy for her head and actually made her a bit clumsy which caused irritation to the incision. When we swapped the cone for the surgery suit, we immediately…

Pros
  • Recovery Collars & Cones
Cons
  • Can be expensive compared to traditional E-collars

Works if you have a calm kitty

I thought this was pretty nice the fabric is soft and it was pretty simple to put on. My cat however has other ideas about this product now she is dramatic so I assume it’s her not the product. I bought this for her for after she got spayed I got it on her simply enough but the fabric is not thick so if you have a kitty that is prone to compulsively licking it may not last long. I woke up the morning after and she had torn holes in the leg tummy area with her teeth I ended up have to hand sew a

Pros
  • Soft and comfortable for our kitten. Works better than the cone that the vet gives.
Cons
  • Limited range of motion

Cat’s too smart for it

My cat figured out how to wiggle out of it in two hours. I added an elastic loop through the neck hole since that’s where he got out, but he still got out again.

Pros
  • Manufactured with anti-bacterial and anti-microbial materials to prevent infection and bacteria build-up
Cons
  • Could create an odor in the house

Awesome Surgical Suit

Used for my 4 pound sphynx kitten's spay recovery. I ended up buying a small and a medium. The small was on the shorter side and the medium was slightly too big around. We used both as she had a growth spurt mid recovery. Luckily a clip fixed the medium being slightly too big around. Love the design, colors, and fabric.

Pros
  • Provides a comfortable and safe alternative to the uncomfortable and restrictive e-collar
Cons
  • Can be difficult to manage while the cat sleeps
