Review on Upgrade Your Yarn Ball Winding Experience with Stanwood Needlecraft YBW-B Hand-Operated Yarn Ball Winder, 4-Ounce by Hannah Curi

Very comfortable, runs smoothly. Even my 7 year old rolled the ball up perfectly with it!

This Yarn Winder has helped me a lot to organize my yarn! I had a lot of skeins of yarn that I would spool up when I ran out of a skein or when I ripped up the project and wanted to save the yarn. The problem with hand winding without a winder is that I couldn't pull off center. So it was great to make neat balls that I could easily use! I like that it has a lid under the hinge part because that's where the thread can get tangled when winding if you're not careful. The lid prevents this. I would make two improvements: the yarn slots at the top of the cone/spool are not very deep and that the yarn doesn't pop out on the first spin, you need to hold the yarn in place. I used duct tape. Snapping ribbon or lace to hold the yarn on top, or deeper cuts to insert the end of the yarn would be nice. Secondly, the option to install on a thinner spool is more suitable for winding a small amount of yarn. Is there a thinner coil? A loose ball will be obtained when winding a small amount of yarn if the central hole is this large.
