Review on Chapman Brewing Equipment Stainless UniVessel by Irene Rodriguez

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor quality for fermentation etc.

Poor quality ball valve. It flows like crazy. Stainless steel is very thin. On the day of brewing, I checked it for leaks. (Wish I'd tested it before brewing if I had. I would never have used it. My fault.) The outside washer dripped constantly. I drained it, but on closer inspection I noticed that the metal around the connector was slightly warped. I really didn't want to use the fermenter, but since I had 5 gallons of wort I didn't want to waste it. In a nutshell. I had to use multiple channel locks to really tighten the lock nut. I just finished bottling a few hours ago. I noticed that it was dripping under the outer pane. It dried up. That got me thinking. I really tightened the thing up with a couple of channel locks until I couldn't turn the locknut anymore and it was still leaking. I threw the whole thing away. Don't waste money like me. Don't buy this.
