Good for the price Good for the kitchen and dining room

Metal burrs on the latches cut my hand. The spout below needs to be tightened to prevent it from leaking (4 screws). Overall good for the price but there are better products out there

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Infuriates

Heavy duty and great value.

Very good quality with strong fittings and embossed level markings. I have another fermentor with a cone bottom and legs, but this one has better clamps, bigger, stronger handles, and a better ball valve. it's about $100 cheaper.

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Ratio Set

Product arrived damaged and without instructions

This product was damaged. It had a dent and scratches on the inside. A metal collar is bent. There are no instructions for attaching a ball valve. I am unhappy with this purchase and would like to return and get my money back.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Minor issues

Instant access to brew contents

Quick release clips provide almost instant access to brew material. Ball valve made of high quality stainless steel for the bottom drain of the tank. Beautiful, easy-care, high-gloss stainless steel surface. The cover is equipped with a central hole for installing a gateway. The perfect tool to serve you for years.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Like the other reviewer

The positives of this fermentor have already been covered, so I'll just focus on the two negatives I encountered: (1) The ball valve fitting only comes with an O-ring Supplied by -which took me an hour with teflon tape and constant leaks to get, I decided to go to the hardware store just for new gaskets. I had to do this before brew day because it took me an extra 2 hours to brew. (2) The gateway port is only big enough for the gateway itself and not the one inexplicably included by default?)…

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • No power

Poor quality for fermentation etc.

Poor quality ball valve. It flows like crazy. Stainless steel is very thin. On the day of brewing, I checked it for leaks. (Wish I'd tested it before brewing if I had. I would never have used it. My fault.) The outside washer dripped constantly. I drained it, but on closer inspection I noticed that the metal around the connector was slightly warped. I really didn't want to use the fermenter, but since I had 5 gallons of wort I didn't want to waste it. In a nutshell. I had to use multiple…

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

The last fermenter I will buy.

PORTABLE VERSION Please note first: This item is not shipped directly from Chapman. My first item was shipped in a rush and the two piece ball lock was wrapped in a McDonald's sleeve. I sent it back quickly. After contacting Chapman I was told they would no longer work with this supplier. Ok, now for the rating. When the correct item was sent it was well packaged. There were no burrs on the bucket. The internal volume designation (in gallons) was also a welcome addition. The handles are trained

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not everything fits

I bought this fermenter a while ago. This is one of two stainless steel fermenters I have. The other is from SS Brewing Technologies and this is their Brewmaster Bucket. This product costs about half the price of an SS Brewing Technologies fermenter. The fermenter is made of stainless steel with a silicone gasket under the lid, handles are securely attached to the sides and latches hold the lid in the down position. The small hole in the center of the lid is a sealed hole that fits a standard…

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Repair
