The positives of this fermentor have already been covered, so I'll just focus on the two negatives I encountered: (1) The ball valve fitting only comes with an O-ring Supplied by -which took me an hour with teflon tape and constant leaks to get, I decided to go to the hardware store just for new gaskets. I had to do this before brew day because it took me an extra 2 hours to brew. (2) The gateway port is only big enough for the gateway itself and not the one inexplicably included by default?). A purge tube is required for high gravity beers, and the diameter of the tube that fits this hole may not be large enough. Like the other reviewer, I'm considering drilling a larger hole to circumvent this issue. Apart from these two shortcomings, I am satisfied with the product.
