My wife uses an iPhone Max with a thick case and this mount holds her phone very well in both portrait and landscape modes with no issues. I was looking for a dashboard mount that would hold such large and thick phones well without adding too much dashboard space or covering up the windshield. I don't need those bulky long adjustable holders that pop out of the dash/glass easily. I also didn't need the magnetic mounts that fit into the vents and block air. This is the perfect fit for our deployment.
